TransformYour Reality While You Sleep
(Three techniques scientists, artists, and spiritual teachers use to create new worlds.)
What do Thomas Edison, Taylor Swift, and Tibetan Dream Yoga Masters have in common? Like the most innovative minds in human history, they credit their dreams with inspiring their most successful creations.
Now neuroscience backs something creators have always intuitively known: Your dreams have the power to change your waking reality.
You don’t have to be a genius or a monk to use these techniques. I’m sharing three simple processes you can start using tonight to take your creativity to the next level!
These techniques have created breakthroughs for my coaching clients…from tech innovators dreaming up solutions, musicians accessing song ideas, and clients seeking clarity for major life decisions. It works for them, and I know it can work for you.
#1: Amplify Creativity and Clarity
When you dream, you can train yourself to access information that is clear, intuitive and free of the distractions of daily life.
Christopher Nolan received the content for his groundbreaking movie “Inception” through a series of dreams. You can tap into that same power to find practical guidance for your own life and projects.
To begin the process: Set the intent to receive insights on a question or project right before you sleep. Write your desire in a notebook (or device) and place it by your bed. When you wake, immediately record any information you remember.
Integrate these intuitive clues with details your rational mind has gathered during waking life. Allow clear guidance to arise, whether it be for work, relationships, or health. The most powerful results come through when you practice consistently.
#2 Create and Rehearse Your Future
Dreams are a perfect space to connect with your future self. Start by visualizing your intentions for the next phase of your life. (Journal, sketch, or vision board your goals if you need help activating crystal clarity.) You can include specific details about your health, career, living space, and relationships. Or simply focus clearly on how you want to feel in the next phase of your life.
Before bed, write down the intent to experience this future life in your dreams. Upon waking, immediately record clues or details you receive. Commit to doing this consistently to refine your skills.
Neuroscience research proves this technique can rewire the brain to help you develop a heightened awareness of new opportunities, change habitual behaviors more easily, and become more at home in new situations. The more vivid your intent becomes in your visualizations and dreams, the more rapidly it will appear in your waking life.
#3: Clear Emotional Blocks
Dreams can provide information from our subconscious about old patterns that may be holding us back from achieving our goals. Before you go to bed, write down the intent to release any fears or blocks that no longer serve you.
Notice details you receive in your dreams about what those blocks are, and what you can do to release them. As always, record the information!
You may notice that sometimes blocks will actually clear themselves while you’re dreaming! It’s similar to when you experience a life-changing book or movie, and you feel a powerful internal shift that starts to affect your daily thoughts and behavior. You’ll awaken feeling lighter and more courageous in taking action, even if you can’t remember specific details.
“Dreaming, after all, is a form of planning.”
-Gloria Steinem
Try one of these techniques tonight and get ready to embark on a life-changing journey. I know the power that dreams have unleashed for my clients can transform your body, your energy, and your world!
